About TCMS

TCMS is one of the largest music societies in Cambridge, based in the largest college. On average, we put on up to 50 concerts each academic year (across all three terms) featuring musicians from the college, university and further afield.

Our concerts include large orchestral and choral works in Trinity College Chapel, as well as solo or chamber music recitals in the more intimate venues of the Old Combination Room or the Frazer Room. Special concerts, including a Freshers’ Concert in the Master’s Lodge each year, provide an opportunity for a range of college musicians of all standards to each present a piece in a more informal setting. Our year ends with the massive May Week Concert, held in Hall, featuring the annual Trinity Operetta, and with a garden party in the garden of the Master’s Lodge.

The Society also runs the Trinity Singers, one of Cambridge’s finest non-audition choirs. The Singers are open to anyone, whether or not they are a member of the University, and puts on one concert a term. We also run Trinity College Chamber Orchestra, one Cambridge’s premier student ensembles.

Anyone can become a member of TCMS, entitling you to discounted ticket prices and exclusive access to some concerts. We also welcome enquiries from anyone interested in performing. Please contact Anita Monserrat, our Artistic Director, for more information about putting on concerts.
