Set in Wren's glorious library this year's concert will feature Cambridge's finest string players conducted by Michael Waldron. The program includes Bach - Brandenburg Concerto No.3 in G major, BWV 1048, Vaughan Williams Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, and Richard Strauss' Metamorphosen.

Mendelssohn and Schubert Piano Trios

An opportunity to hear one of Cambridge's most talented piano trios, Kenyi Wang (violin), Christopher Stark (cello) and Grace Lee (piano), perform Mendelssohn's Piano Trio in D minor and Schubert's Piano Trio in B-flat major.
Edith Leigh Piano Prize

The Edith Leigh Piano Prize (paid from the income of a fund established in memory of Edith Leigh, pianist, 1914-72) is awarded annually for a solo performance on the piano by a member of the College in statu pupillari. This year's competition includes works by J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Ravel and Szymanowski.

Vocal Recital of Bach Cantatas

Natasha Goldberg (soprano), Lucy Goddard (mezzo soprano), Katherine Hambridge (mezzo soprano) and Sam Hogarth (conductor) perform a selection of cantatas by J. S. Bach with continuo and chamber orchestra. Featuring Weichet nur, betrübte Schatten BWV202, Vergnügte Ruh BWV170 and Geist und Seele wird verwirret BWV35.

In a change to the recital advertised in the termcard, Olivia Caramello, winner of this year's Edith Leigh Piano Prize, performs a wide selection of works from the Baroque era to the 20th Century. Programme includes Bach's Italian Concerto, BWV971, Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 30, Op. 109, and Ravel's Jeux d'eau.

May Week Concert

Once more the highly-acclaimed May Week concert marks the start of the summer festivities. This year's program includes Mozart's Exsultate, Jubilate with Katy Watson, Schumann's Cello Concerto in A minor Op.129 with soloist Jonathan Dodd and this year's operetta, The Gentlemen Taken by Matthew Hammett Knott. This farcical battle of the sexes plunders music from Gilbert & Sullivan's Ruddigore and features the cream of Trinity's musical performers under the baton of James Batty and direction of Lewis Reynolds.
